Orava Youth Room
Youth work in Orava was initially led by Ene Säinast. Subsequently, the Orava Youth Centre operated as an NGO, and the premises were located in the school building. After the administrative reform, since 2018, the Orava Youth Centre started operating as a sub-institution of Võru municipality in the second-floor rooms of the Orava Culture House, where it operates to this day. Following the culture reform, since the spring of 2023, the youth institution belongs under the Võru Municipality Culture and Youth Work Centre and is named the Orava Youth Room.

- Cooking
- Crafting
- Archery Circle
Hiking Circle (youth from other Võru municipality youth houses and rooms can also participate)
The Orava Youth Room cooperates with the Orava Branch Library, the school, and the culture house—organizing various events and celebrating national calendar holidays.
Services and Opportunities
In the Orava Youth Room, it is possible to play various table games: billiards, air hockey, foosball, mini-billiards, etc. TV games include Xbox and Wii. Additionally, three desktop computers are available for youth use. The Youth Room has scooters, roller skates, and skateboards that can be used for active movement on the light traffic road running through Orava village.
Furthermore, sports can be played at the Orava School sports field and the school gymnasium.
The Orava Youth Room premises can be rented for birthdays and smaller events. The library is located on the first floor of the building, and the culture house is on the third floor, both of which can also host various events and workshops.
Accessibility
The Orava Youth Room is located on the second floor of the three-story Orava Culture House. Wheelchair access is not available.
Parking is available in the lot in front of the Culture House. Entry is through the right-hand door at the front of the building. A three-step staircase leads to the door from outside. Upon entering the building, you must go up the stairs to reach the Youth Room. The staircase consists of two flights of stairs with a landing in between. After going up the first flight to the landing, you must take a few steps to the left and turn around to go up the second flight. The handrail is only on the right side for the entire length of the stairs. Upon reaching the second floor, the Youth Room door is 3 meters to the right of the stairs.
