About the Vastseliina Youth Centre
The Vastseliina Youth Centre was opened in 2011. Its core mission is to help young people discover who they are, what they are passionate about, and to put into words what they dream of. After that, youth workers create various opportunities so that each young person can turn their dreams into reality.
The following hobby groups operate at the Vastseliina Youth Centre:
- 3D printing and laser engraving
- Handicrafts and creative making
- Cooking
The Vastseliina Youth Centre is open to all young people who wish to spend their time in a pleasant way, take part in active activities and youth events, and meet new people. Young people of all ages are welcome, including those who have already graduated from upper secondary school and are studying elsewhere.
Services and Opportunities
The Youth Centre is proud to host the largest indoor skate park in Võru County. Visitors can play billiards, table football (corona), table tennis, video games, and board games. In the creative room, it is possible to draw and do crafts.
In 2024, an innovation and digital room was completed through the project “For the Benefit of Youth,” featuring three-in-one multifunctional equipment: 3D printing, laser engraving, and CNC cutting.
Next to the Youth Centre begins the Vastseliina disc golf park, created as part of the “Nopi Üles” competition. Adjacent to the Youth Centre are the Vastseliina Gymnasium stadium and a multifunctional sports field, where it is possible to take part in training sessions, play ball games, skate in winter, and spend free time actively. In the immediate vicinity, there is also an outdoor gym and a low adventure course.
The Vastseliina Youth Centre can be rented for birthday parties and other events. For birthdays, all rooms of the Youth Centre are available except the gym. During birthday events, guests can use the kitchen equipment (stove, oven, microwave, coffee machine, electric kettle), skateboards, scooters, Xbox, and PlayStation 4 with games.
Accessibility
The Vastseliina Youth Centre is located next to the Vastseliina Gymnasium. There is a signpost on Petseri Street directing visitors to the Youth Centre. Parking is available in front of the building. Access to the building is via a ramp. People with mobility impairments can use the first floor only, where an accessible restroom is also available.
