Our cookie policy

A cookie is a small text file that a web server sends to the user’s web browser and that is stored on the user’s computer hard drive. It allows the website to remember the user’s preferences, such as font size, language, device information, visit statistics, and more. All web browsers are by default set to allow cookies, but browser settings can generally be changed so that the browser refuses all cookies, blocks third-party cookies, or notifies the user each time a cookie is sent.

Võru Municipal Cultural and Youth Centre uses the following types of cookies:

  • Session cookies (temporary cookies), which enable the use of the service.
  • Persistent cookies (stored on the user’s computer after the browser is closed), which are used to remember the visitor’s preferences on the Võru Municipal Cultural and Youth Centre’s website.

More specifically, the Võru Municipal Cultural and Youth Centre uses:

  • Analytical cookies, which collect information about how the website is used—such as which pages are visited the most or what visitors are searching for on the website. These cookies do not collect data that would allow users to be directly identified. These include, for example, Google Analytics and Hotjar cookies.

  • Third-party cookies, e.g., YouTube and Google Maps. Location maps and videos are not displayed unless the user has agreed to the privacy terms. To make this technically possible, we use the privacy_embeds cookie created by the Avada theme.

The user has the right to refuse the storage of cookies on their computer. If desired, the user must change their web browser settings.

Instructions for configuring the most commonly used browsers:

When blocking cookies, the user should take into account that not all website functions may remain available.
