I'm here if...
you are looking for work;

you are thinking about where to study;
you want to discover what interests you;
you need advice on studying or school life;

For communication, you can choose a suitable place, whether it's a youth institution, school, cafe, walking outdoors, or meeting online through a Messenger call. Together, we will find a direction that you like!
The Youth Welfare Specialist collaborates with young people, helping them find suitable directions and interests in life. They take into account the wishes and needs of the young person, providing them with suitable information, activities, or involving network members to move towards goals.
It is a free service for young people, where they can participate voluntarily, as needed or desired. All future steps and cooperation activities are agreed upon in advance.
How do young people reach the Youth Welfare Specialist?
- through the Youth Guarantee Support System (NGTS) IT solution;
- through the IT solution, the local government compiles a list of 16-26 year olds who do not study, work, are not unemployed, do not have a missing work capacity, do not receive work support services, are not engaged in business, do not receive compensation for raising a child under one and a half years, are not in prison or pre-trial detention, are not in substitute or defense service twice a year;
- through the network/cooperation partner;
- the young person contacts directly.
Opportunities for young people
When supporting young people, the NGTS Youth Welfare Specialist considers the individual needs and wishes of the young person, based on which support activities and information are offered.
If necessary, members of the young person's support network or other support providers and representatives from related fields (e.g., youth worker, Unemployment Insurance Fund case manager, child protection specialist, etc.) are involved in the case management process.
Support can be both short-term and long-term, including introducing necessary services and benefits, such as job offers, training and other continuing education opportunities, international youth work, health and lifestyle support activities, financial literacy, support opportunities for children and families, etc.
In the process of collaboration between the young person and the Youth Welfare Specialist, the focus is on the goal set by the young person (continuing education, finding suitable work, etc.). A feasible action plan is developed together to help achieve the goal. The Youth Welfare Specialist supports the young person until the goal is reached.
After reaching the goal, contact with the young person is maintained for up to six months to analyze the progress made. In case of new needs emerging, a new action plan is developed.
